The Kohl Center, opened in 1998, is the home for the UW men's, and women's basketball teams, and the men's hockey teams. In addition to Badgers athletics, the Kohl Center hosts numerous other events throughout the year including commencement ceremonies for the UW and Madison high schools, concerts, ice skating shows, career fairs, political gatherings and conventions.
